I’m Really Working…
...on making this spot more than a place where Skunkcontrol leaves his amazing quotes and Joe, Mike and the rest of you poke in occasionally to see if class is in session, only to determine that nope, it's another Snow Day again, and go back to committing crimes or saving puppies or whatever else you do when you're not here.
I wish I had more to report. Honestly, I've just been trying to come down from all the Bought madness and attempt to answer the emails that accumulated when I was off trying to convince all women that they have whorish qualities even if they don't realize it. I'm also feverishly working on launching a new site for the school district -- otherwise known as home base, annadavid.com. It's going to look amazing and I've been working with the web designer on it (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, as I always say when Karpadym and Christian tell me that ToddRod, Ted From Accounting and Trapp are talking during class).
What else do I have to tell you? Some Bought press is still trickling in. I'm going to be on this show on Blog Talk Radio tonight at 6. And I'm going back to Chicago on Monday so that I can appear on WGN on Tuesday morning (Mike! Homework assignment: can you tape it and put on YouTube? Or should I not be asking the guy whose video camera I happily smiled and waved to until I was informed it was not, in fact, working?)
Oh! Also! Who's in Jersey? Going there tomorrow night, to read with James Frey again. The store is Books & Greetings in Northvale, the time is 7 pm and no, Arthur Kade is not going to be there.
i’ll be happy to (successfully this time) tape your appearance here and it will be posted, unlike the epic failure I was taping your first visit. if i don’t complete this assignment, i’ll gladly accept any punishment our dear principal deems necessary.
can’t wait for the new school to open. if you’ve seen the pictures of the school from summer vacation, you know we desperately need new digs.
missed you around here but glad you’re coming down from all the buzz and taking some time to chill out, it’s much deserved.

It’s not uncommon for principals to take sabbaticals from their schools. I’m surprised our principal had time to post anything here over the last 4 weeks. In any event, we’ve glad to have her back.
I left the final 2008-2009 school year reports on your desk, Miss David. We had great year! A record 98% of our graduating class is going on to higher education. Seventy two percent of the graduates were offered scholarships and grants totaling more than $5 million. The SAT scores for the Class of 2009 were: Verbal 553, Math 539, Writing 558 – the highest in the region! Next year’s student-faculty ratio is expected to be 9:1 with an average class size of 21.
All teacher contracts have been renewed for next year. But even more importantly, all faculty members have successfully completed the Advanced Hashtagging class. We’re ready for 2009-2010!

Watched “The Girlfriend Experience” last night — the main character reminded me of Jessica from “Bought”, esp. when she would throw out designer names that I have never heard of.
This is emberressing, but I am such a Nerd that I hated summer because there was no school. I hated summer vacation because A. It was hot, B. I was forced to play baseball,even though I am built for football, and 3. I had nothing to do. NOTHING TO DO is pretty much my definition of Hell. My freshmen year, I had my summer reading list done in 2 weeks.
Yes, yes, I am a nerd. Don’t judge. Well not much.

Toddrod wasn’t talking to Trapp and Ted!! Toddrod was trying to tell them to be quiet because Ms. Anna is back and SHE’S TAKING NAMES! Toddrod is quite innocent, and rarely instigates any activities that may go against the job of teaching and learning that is taking place!
